Administrating the infor:swan manufacturing system (MRPII) and maintaining stock numbers and bills of material.

Carried out day-to-day support issues, networking and repairs to old manufacturing PCs required for legacy product test equipment.

Maintained the intranet site used by manufacturing for stock and data sheet retrieval. Also Generated product sales reports and forecasts.

Key Achievements

Handled the transfer of infor:swan data to new Alliance MRPII system.

Transfer of databases and intranet to new server.

 

MIS Coordinator

Managing the control / entry of engineering information into the infor:swan manufacturing system. I became system administrator in 1997 along with the company banking and payment software systems 3 years later.

I also assist the IT Manager on day-to-day support issues, repair of PCs, networking and management of company backups.

I also maintained the company intranet site for last 2 years.

Key Achievements

Designed intranet web pages which accesses infor:swan data and supplies data sheets in PDF format and stock information for the Engineering department.

Transferred our paper ISO 9000 system onto the Intranet site.

Designed databases which can be accessible in web format to managed Time sheets, Despatch and Service Return details.

 

Freelance Database Designer

Local businessman wanted to start a dating agency to cover Northamptonshire and surrounding counties. Following a brief I developed database over several months, which meet his requirements using dBASE 3+/4 and 5. System managed customs details, issuing of renewal / expire letters and produced and stored a list of perspective partners per person using the information supplied on application forms.

Key Achievements

Database is still running today and there have been many marriages over the years.

CAD Draughtsman

(1986 to 1991)

Capture of schematic designs from engineering department. Creating and Maintaining schematic component libraries. Also prepared PCB assembly drawings, other documents and produced project bills of materials.

Key Achievements

Designed and created a database using dBASE 2/3+ to index and record drawing issues and change request notes.

Drawing Office Assistant

(1984 to 1986)

I collated, printed and issued production drawings. Drew mechanical assemblies, details and PCB schematics.

Key Achievements

Converted hand drawn bills of material into an electronic format I designed on the PC.

 

 

YTS Training Scheme

Duties involved normal office work filling out forms to order parts, collecting / sorting post, filing, helping other people in the department. I also had Day Release on Friday.

Key Achievements

Devised a "Graph Plotter" programme which plotted the actual supply scheduling performance to predicted performance.

Set-up a personnel records file.
